OUR STORY

​

Chamonix Art School was founded by Cat Kartal, local artist-painter, graduate of the Ecole du Louvre and former student of Ateliers de la ville de Paris and  Grande Chaumière. She also obtained the college agreement (national education 2011) as a college teacher.

Enjoying the transmission of skills and the sharing of emotions rised by artistic creation, Cat offers initiation and improvement workshops in different mediums.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Each of us feels the need to bring out our creativity in order to give meaning to our identity and our place in the world. At Chamonix Art school, we know that artistic expression is an intimate process that requires revealing one's sensitivity and daring to experiment. This is why we pay a particular attention to welcoming you without judgement, without expectation, with respect and kindness so that the treasures of creativity hidden in you take pleasure in expressing themselves.

WHO CAN JOIN US ?

​

The workshops are aimed at everyone, young and old, beginners or experienced.

The sessions take the form of collective workshops or private "A la carte" services.

 

WHERE DO THE WORKSHOPS TAKE PLACE ?

 

In the exceptional setting offered by the valley, Chamonix Art School intimately links artistic practice to the magnificence of nature. This is why the workshops are organized, as often as possible, outdoors during walks or at the Art&Nature chalet, ideally located on the edge of the forest during the summer. In winter the activities take place in a studio.
